Transparency and control are our highest priorities when it comes to personal information online.
Information Collection and Use
Jetlore collects personally and non-personally identifiable information both on its Clients as well as individuals identified by the Clients. Section 2.1 describes our policy on collection and use of information on our Clients, whereas Section 2.2 describes our policy on the information pertaining to the individuals identified by the Clients (“Information Controlled by our Clients”).
Collection and Use of Information about Jetlore Clients (through the Site)
In the course of using the Services, we ask you to provide us with certain Personally Identifiable Information. Such information may include, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, email address, postal address. We may also ask you for non-personally identifiable information such as company name, company size, business type, and number of emails sent out per month. We use the information we collect to administer your account, communicate with you, respond to customer service requests, improve our website and marketing efforts, and conduct research and analysis.
Collection and Use of Information Controlled by Our Clients (through the Service)
Jetlore collects and processes Non-Personally Identifiable Information (“NPII”) under the direction of our Clients. The NPII is collected from your browser or directly from our Customers and includes non-personally identifiable information such as your IP address, a unique Customer ID number, the date and time of use of our Services, and your activity on Clients’ websites. We use NPII to associate your preferences to Client products and advertisements in order to suggest to you those products and advertisements either on Client websites, Client mobile apps, or through Client emails.
We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information except for the limited collection of email addresses when explicitly instructed by our Clients. Our Client obtains such email addresses from you with your consent for the sole purpose of enabling us to personalize and merchandise emails from the Clients to you using our services. Accordingly, we will not disclose such Personal Information to any third party, unless specifically and rightfully instructed or directed to do so by Customer and will not share, disclose, rent, or sell any such Personal Information except as requested or directed by Customer or as we believe may be required by law or to otherwise protect our legal rights.
Cookies and Tracking Technology
Jetlore uses tracking technologies, such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts, on our Clients’ web sites, Clients’ mobile apps, and our own web sites.
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. Cookies allow us to recognize you upon future email opens, future visits to our sites, or future visits to our Clients’ sites, and save your preference information. As a result, we are able to offer you a more personalized experience as part of Clients’ emails and as part of Clients’ web or mobile experience.
In addition, we may also employ a software technology called clear gifs (also known as Web Beacons). Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track individual actions of the web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages or emails and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
The information we collect from cookies, clear gifs, and tracking scripts is only used in conjunction with your use of Services and is not shared by us with any third party. Jetlore does not use tracking technology to determine any individual’s actual identity.
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We will never share or sell the Personal Identifiable Information you provide us with other organizations for their marketing or promotional uses without your express consent.
We share information about you only with your consent or as described below:
- Personnel: Our personnel (including, for the avoidance of doubt, consultants and/or contractors) may have access to information about you while carrying out their duties in the normal course of our company business. We only authorize them to use this information as is necessary in the course of their duties for us.
- Our Service Providers: We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share information about you with them to allow them to perform such tasks. Again, we only authorize them to use this information as is necessary in the course of their duties for us.
- Business Transfers: Jetlore may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
- Disclosure Required By Law: We may disclose personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request, to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.
We never contact individuals, whose personal data is provided to us by our Clients, unless it is done on behalf of our Clients or the individual came in contact with Jetlore directly.
Jetlore will occasionally send emails to inform you of new features or other areas of interest. To opt out of these emails follow the instructions in them or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or ongoing business relations.
Requesting, Changing, or Deleting Your Information
All Jetlore Clients may review, update, correct or delete the Personally Identifiable Information in their registration profile by logging into their account and changing the "settings" associated with their account. You may also contact us at compliance [at] jetlore [dot] com, or use the full contact information listed below. If you no longer desire our service, please contact us directly. If you completely delete all information in your account, your account may be deactivated. If your individual consumer seeks access, or seeks to correct, amend, rectify or erase inaccurate data, or wishes to be forgotten, or wishes for his data to not be processed, you can contact us at compliance [at] jetlore [dot] com. All access requests will be responded to within 28 days.
Access to Information Controlled by our Clients:
Jetlore has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes within our Services. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, rectify or erase inaccurate data, or who wishes to be forgotten, or wishes for his data to not be processed, should direct his query to the Jetlore Client he or she interacts with directly (the data controller). If the Client requests Jetlore to remove the data, we will respond to their request within 28 days.
If you believe Jetlore data about you is incorrect or offensive, you may contact us at support [at] jetlore [dot] com to amend it or have it deleted from our database.
We may retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Jetlore will retain personal data we process on behalf of our Clients for as long as needed to provide services and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
The security of your personal information and our Clients’ information is very important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personally identifiable information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personally identifiable information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. When you enter sensitive information (such as login credentials, emails) we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
Our Policy Toward Children
Jetlore does not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children under 16. Our systems are not designed for use by children under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information belonging to someone under age of 16, we will delete such information from our files. If you believe that we have any information from or about a child under 16, please contact us at support [at] jetlore [dot] com.
We may update this privacy statement to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes we will notify our Clients by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this Site prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
